The super popular sheer light-filtering blinds offer the look of a sheer drape with the functions of a blind. They come in three sizes with several options for each, including sheer horizontal blinds and sheer vertical blinds. Select the size of sheer horizontal blinds or sheer vertical blinds below. The vertical sheers are great for sliders and give the room a more formal look. 3 1/2" vanes for the vertical sheers. The R-Value is how much energy efficiency your blinds has for blocking out the heat and cold. For this product (when closed) the R- Value is Decent (not the best).
Please be aware that the sheer light-filtering blinds are not a 100% blackout but only block 60%-80% of the light.
This is the most popular seller in the sheer horizontal line. Comes in light filtering fabrics that offer a nice glow to any room. Also available in a room darkening material for those day sleepers (blocks out around 75% of the light). Also, why not motorize them for those high windows? Sizes include 2", 2 1/2" and 3" vanes.
Shades Shutters Blinds offers two types of vertical sheer blinds. Both are made by Comfortex. The first is the most affordable standard vertical blinds. Each vane is separated and functions just like a regular vertical blind but is attached with an elegant sheer for a formal look. Available in light filtering and room darkening fabrics. This is the Stardust by Comfortex. The second type of vertical sheer is a new product by Comfortex called the Ballet. These are drapery sheers that also provide privacy, elegance and the function of a regular vertical blind. The fabric is attached and operates much more smoothly.
For ALL roller blinds (sheers, roller shades, sunscreens or any blind that rolls up), the fabric is narrower than the roller. It has to be this way to make room for the mechanisms that operate the blind and the fabric. The gap is the most significant of all our products and that is why this is here. There is a 1 1/2" total difference between the roller and the fabric. For inside the window (inside mount) there is nothing you can do about this so decide if that gap is acceptable. If not, you need to choose a different type of blind. For outside the windows (outside mount), you do have a choice. If you need the FABRIC to be a certain width, add to this measurement to make room for the roller. We will take the measurements including the headrail, not just the fabric size. We are not responsible for this so call if you have questions.
These products are custom made for you. So, please be sure you understand what you are ordering. There are no returns or refunds for mismeasured items, wrong fabric or color selection - but we want to help you through all these decisions.
